Even after two months of Jammu and Kashmir becoming Union Territory, official language Hindi is missing from official work. There is no website in Hindi, far from official notification or exchange of documents.
Hindi is completely missing in the Civil Secretariat, the main center of the government's functioning. There is no letter of Hindi in the main building. From sign board to administrative officer or name plate of Advisor or Lieutenant Governor are recorded in English.
Amar Ujala correspondent went to various sections of the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday from noon to two and a half hours to see that no work was being done in official language Hindi. Officials are also avoiding talking about this.
