Hindi Sahitya Mandal resents Govt move on imposing Kashmiri

Hindi Sahitya Mandal Jammu has strongly criticized the State Government move of imposing Kashmiri language in Jammu province colleges.
A resolution in this regard was adopted during a meeting of the Sahitya Mandal, which was attended by prominent writers, poets and artists.
The meet termed the Government move as attack on culture and identity of Dogras. The participants stressed that each language should be encouraged and promoted but not at the cost of suppressing other one.
The meeting was attended by Kiran Bakshi, Chanchal Dogra, Agnishekhar, Ratanlal Shant, Nirmal Vinod, Rita Jitendra, Khhama Koul, Arvinder Aman, Baljit Singh Raina, Sham Talib, Arun Sharma, Vijaya Thakur, Neeraj Sharma, Shyam Bihari Juneja, Sunil Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Sudhir Mahajan, Pawan Khajuria, Kiran Sharma, Sneh Samyal, Indira Sharma, Uma Sharma and others.
Meanwhile, Hindi Sahitya Mandal also organized a Hindi poetic meet on the eve of birth anniversary of Munshi Premchand.
Former Secretary of J&K Cultural Academy, Ramesh Mehta, Principal of SMPR College of Commerce, Dr Ramesh Kumar, Prof Ratan Lal Shant, Prof Rita Jitendra, Dr Aman and president of the Hindi Sahitya Mandal, Prof Kiran Bakshi were among the presidium.
