Two differently-abled artists of Red Cross Home were declared as winners of the cultural programme held here on Tuesday. Paras and Harsh differently abled artists of Red Cross Home were declared as winners in the 'Variety Cultural Show for Specially-abled Children' organised jointly by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Divya Kala Manch and Project Model School Janipur at Police Auditorium Jammu. The programme was conducted with an objective to salute and appreciate the psyche and endeavour of the specially-abled children. The two-day show was dedicated to the specially-abled children of Red Cross Home in which an opportunity was also given to the children of Jammu region schools which included Heritage School, Project Model School, G.D Goenka and Sarvodaya Secondary School. On the occasion, Dr S.D Singh, IGP Jammu was the Chief Guest while Dr Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu was the Guest of Honour. Rajesh Sharma, SSP SO to IGP Jammu, Joginder Singh SSP PCR, Vinod Kumar SP City, Sandeep Choudhary SP South Jammu, Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu, Vinay Kumar SP Operations Jammu, Vikrant Sharma Principal Project Model School, Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, Divya Director Divya Kala Manch and Rishab and Amarjot of MIER institution were also present. Speaking on the occasion, the IGP Jammu highlighted the efforts of the specially-abled children in coping with the society and the needs of the modern world around them. He praised the care takers and teachers of the specially-abled children for making them so professional and strong. He further said that J&K Police is committed to providing platform to every individual of the State and regularly conducting so many cultural and sports activities that everyone gets exposure and encourage. He assured the participants that more and more such events would be organised by the Police Department in near future. Special celebrities of Terrance Group also performed as a special guest item. They interact with the school children and specially-abled children and also gave them few tips. They also judged the performances of the show. Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer presented welcome address. Vikrant Sharma presented vote of thanks while Archana Sharma conducted the proceedings of the show. The coordinating members of the show included Rajesh Sharma SO to IGP Jammu, Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, Vikrant Sharma Principal Project Model School, Divya, Director Divya Kala Manch, Rishab, Sonika and Amarjot. Later, IGP Jammu distributed trophies among the winners and participants. Saral of GD Gonika School bagged first prize, Bavneet of Heritage School declared second and Navya of GD Gonika declared third in Solo Dance. Parth and Simran Chopra of Heritage School both bagged first prize, Kohinoor of GD Gonika bagged second and Arnav Jandyal bagged third prize in Solo Singing. GD Gonika declared first, Sarvodaya School declared second and Heritage School declared third in Group Dance. Heritage School declared first, GD Gonika declared second and third in Duet Dance. Agastu Sharma of Project Model School was declared as winner in Western Solo Singing.
