State unit of Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackery on Friday staged protest against the ration scarcity in Jammu city and its outskirts.
The protest was organized under the instructions of State President, Dimpy Kohli and led by General Secretary Manish Sahni.
Sahni said that in the whole Jammu province there is a huge scarcity of ration and also alleged that ration dealers have been black marketeering the government ration and the officials of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (F,CS&CA) Department are doing nothing to check the black marketing. He said that despite several complaints to officials of the F,CS&CA, ration card holders had been facing problems due to corruption at its peak.
They pointed out that no step had been taken to address grievances of the people and investigate reasons for the people not getting ration on regular basis.
Shiv Sena appealed to government to take steps against the officials involved in the black marketeering nexus so that the people may not suffer any more.
Working President Ashwani Gupta, State Spokesman Rakesh Kak, Senior Vice President Rajeev Bhandari, Vice President Rajan Gupta, Surinder Mahajan, Nathpal Chowdary, Sanjeev Kumar and Pawan Singh also joined the protest.
