Two J&K players to represent India in 7th Junior World Wushu C’ship

JAMMU: Naveed Farooq and Mohd Saleem of Kashmir province on Sunday left for the Seventh Junior World Wushu Championship to be held at Brasilia, Brazil from July 9 to 16, 2018.
Both the players were selected during the selection trial held at SAI Bhopal on May 15, 2018.
Pertinent to mention here that Naveed Farooq from Srinagar won silver medal in the 16th Junior National Wushu Championship held at Haryana whereas Mohd Saleem from Budgam secured gold medal in the 56 kg in 17th Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship held at Jammu.
The Indian Wushu team comprising 27 members left today for Brazil. The team was flagged off by the Chief Coach of India, Kuldeep Handoo along with other coaches and supporting staff at SAI Bhopal.
The office bearers of Wushu Association of J&K S Owais, H.K Lohia, Vijay Saraf, Ranjeet Kalra, Deepak Handa, Sunil Sharma and Sohit Sharma congratulated both the players to be the part of the Indian Wushu team and wished best of luck to them.
