All J&K Senior Citizens Welfare Council members led by its President Manjit Singh visited Day Care Centre is run by the council at Suchetgarh.

During the visit, the Council members interacted with senior citizens and discussed various issues pertaining to them especially in a border town. It was observed during discussions that elders are not been receiving old-age pension despite being registered with the concerned government agencies.

It was decided to take up the issue with the Department of Social Welfare for further necessary actions. Various other issues were also discussed by the members on the occasion. K K Gandotra, S K N Singh, T P Singh, G S Ralli, J S Sanhi and Swaran Lal Sarpanch were present on the occasion.
