A new party will soon come into existence in Jammu and Kashmir amid the house arrest of National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah, former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti and political activities in the Valley. The new party will include the former MLA and former minister, angered by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and NC.

The new party is believed to be the result of the exercise of the formation of the Third Front under the leadership of former minister Altaf Bukhari. The party is ready to marginalize NC and PDP. The name of the party will be 'Apni Party'. If all goes well, the new team may be announced next month. Leaders involved in forming the new party said that the party's constitution committee will submit its report around February 24-25. After this report, the party can be announced at any time. At present, the names of its officials have not been decided. It is being said that the new party will work collectively in the initial phase. Officers will be elected if required. Apart from the leaders of Kashmir, the party will also include the leaders of Jammu division. It will have 60 percent old and 30 percent new faces. Bureaucrats, businessmen, youth, journalists will also be part of this party.
