Two Reuters writers imprisoned in Myanmar after they were indicted for breaking the Official Secrets Act strolled free from a jail on the edges of Yangon on Tuesday in the wake of going through over 500 days in a correctional facility.

The two correspondents, Wa Lone, 33, and Kyaw Soe Oo, 29, had been indicted in September and condemned to seven years in prison, for a situation that brought up issues about Myanmar's advancement toward majority rule government and started an objection from representatives and human rights advocates.

They were discharged under a presidential absolution for 6,520 detainees on Tuesday. President Win Myint has exonerated a great many different detainees in mass absolutions since a month ago.

It is standard in Myanmar for experts to free detainees the nation over around the season of the conventional New Year, which started on April 17.

Reuters has said the two men did not perpetrate any wrongdoing and had required their discharge.
