3D film ‘Veer Yodha General Zorawar Singh’ screened at Ranbir School

The first ever 3D animated film of J&K ‘Veer Yodha General Zorawar Singh’ based on life history of great Dogra Warrior was screened at Sangeet Hall of SRML Higher Secondary School, here today.
Chairman, Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, formally inaugurated the screening of film while Principal, SRML Higher Secondary School, Shafat Javed Chib presided over the function, organised by Devinder Singh Kalhuria, Chairman, General Zorawar Singh Memorial Education and Charitable Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Team Jammu threw light on life history of great Dogra Warrior General Zorawar Singh, especially the wars during which he conquered and established forts at Reasi in Jammu region and Leh in Ladakh region besides constructing Mata Chandi Temple at Machail belt of Kishtwar district.
He said that unfortunately, such great Dogra rulers and warriors like General Zorawar Singh could not get their due space in the history, due to which numerous heritage sites of Dogra rulers are in shambles, he said, calling upon the youth to learn Dogra history and take it at every doorstep so that people don’t forget the contributions of great warriors, due to which we have attained our identity as great Dogras.
Principal of the School, Shafqat Javed Chib called upon the students to take interest in enriched Dogra culture and heritage long with focusing on routine studies. She also congratulated Sushma Kalhuria and her daughters Diksha Kalhuria and Riya Kalhuria, who belongs to fifth and sixth generation of great General Zorawar Singh and have written the script of the film.
RJ Tushar Bhardwaj did proceedings of the programme while business entrepreneur, Sandhya Gupta and Tanveer Shah and Mushtaq Shah (Managing Directors, M S Classes) were among special guests present on the occasion.
