India vs New Zealand, 2019 World Cup 1st Semi-final, Live Updates: After play resumed, New Zealand ran hard but some smart fielding from Ravindra Jadeja and good bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah, have allowed India to restrict NZ to 239/8. India will need to bat well and they can win this and progress into the final at Lord's and wait for the winner of the England vs Australia match tomorrow. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will soon come out to bat as there will be no lunch session.

INDIA VS NEW ZEALAND, 2019 WORLD CUP SEMI-FINAL 1: IND 62/4 in 19 overs vs NZ (239/8)
17.03 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Rishabh Pant, Good shot but very well fielded in the deep by Neesham. Good length ball on the body, Pant plays a short arm pull towards square leg. Neesham runs to his left from deep mid-wicket and saves a certain boundary.

16.52 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Hardik Pandya, In the air... but safe! Is this signs of the luck moving into India's favor? A dropped catch early on and now one which falls short. A good short one on middle, it hurries onto the batter. Pandya looks to pull but gets a top edge which balloons over mid-wicket for one.

16.48 IST: Colin de Grandhomme to Rishabh Pant, One more excellent effort in the field! Shorter and outside off, Pant slaps it towards point. Guptill dives to his left and sticks out a hand to save three for his side.

* Drinks Break! New Zealand are all over India here. They have scalped 4 but Pant is out in the middle and more importantly he is looking good.

16.36 IST: Henry to Pandya, FOUR! Shot! Lovely back foot punch! Slightly shorter and outside off, it sits up to be hit. Pandya goes back and punches it past the diving cover fielder and the ball races away to the fence. IND 42/4 in 13.3 overs

16.32 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Rishabh Pant, DROPPED! Cricket is a great leveler, isn't it? Neesham who took a brilliant catch before, drops a sitter now. This could prove very costly as Pant is looking very good out there. Ferguson almost strikes on the very first ball. It is on the pads, Pant whips it, does not keep it down though. It goes towards Neesham at mid-wicket who gets two hands to it but the ball bursts through and a single is taken.

* Lockie Ferguson is into the attack now.

16.29 IST: Matt Henry to Rishabh Pant, A direct hit and that would have been close! New Zealand have their tails up here. This is fuller and outside off, Pant strokes it towards extra cover. The batters take off. Pant is actually jogging to the other end but then starts sprinting as he sees Santner stop it with a dive to his left. MS picks the ball up and has a shy at the non-striker's end but misses. Pant's dive would have saved him though.

16.26 IST: Henry to Pant, FOUR! Excellent pull shot! He was in total control there. Shorter in length and on the body, Pant gets on top of the bounce and pulls it fine on the leg side for a boundary. IND 34/4 in 11.2 overs

16.24 IST: Trent Boult to Hardik Pandya, FOUR! Pandya is off the mark but this is just a very bad ball from Boult. It is on the pads, Hardik looks to flick it does not come off the middle but it has enough to send it fine down the leg side to the fine leg fence. IND 30/4 in 11 overs

* Powerplay 2 time! Now 4 fielders can now be placed outside the 30-yard circle till the 40th over.

16.19 IST: Matt Henry to Dinesh Karthik, OUT! In the air... and what a catch that is. Catches win matches and this could be one that could win New Zealand the game. Jimmy Neesham, take a bow. Karthik can't believe it but that is how it is, when you are not in form, it just does not go your way. This is fuller and outside off, Karthik looks to drive it square on the off side but does so uppishly. The ball goes low and to the left of point where Neesham dives, stretches his left hand out and the takes it inches above the ground. Third wicket for Henry and New Zealand end the Powerplay 1 with a wicket.

16.16 IST: Matt Henry to Rishabh Pant, FOUR! Too full and the ball is put away! On the fuller side and outside off, Pant strokes it through extra cover. Mid off does give it a chase but finishes second best. Runs starting to come now for India.

16.12 IST: Boult to Karthik, FOUR! Off the mark finally! And a well played shot by DK! This is not such a bad delivery, there is a little room on offer outside off. Karthik just opens the face of the bat and guides it past backward point and the ball races away. IND 17/3 in 8.5 overs

16.06 IST: Trent Boult to Dinesh Karthik, Beauty! Perfect yorker outside off, Karthik tries to get his bat down in time but he is late.Latham fails to gather it cleanly but no casualty.

16.04 IST: Trent Boult to Dinesh Karthik, Good leave this. Dinesh is showing a lot of calm and awarness here. This one pitches outside off and nips in. Karthik knows where his off stump is and leaves it alone.

16.01 IST: Henry to Pant, FOUR! First boundary of the run chase! A gift for Pant. A full toss outside off, Pant just uses the pace and guides it through cover-point. The ball races away to the fence. IND 10/3 in 5.5 overs

15.58 IST: Trent Boult to Dinesh Karthik, Another loud shout but this seems to high! Boult starts this from outside off, it tails back in. Karthik lets it be. The ball hits the higher part of the pad and goes to the keeper. New Zealand appeal but the umpire shakes his head.

15.55 IST: Trent Boult to Rishabh Pant, Pant is off the mark! That should settle his nerves a little. This is fuller and on middle, Pant works it towards wide mid on for one.

* Dinesh Karthik is the new man in. He surely wouldn't have expected to bat so soon. India in dire straights and he will have to show his calm, composure nature.

15.50 IST: Matt Henry to KL Rahul, OUT! Another one bites the dust! New Zealand are all over India at the moment. The crowd just can't believe what is happening here. Matt Henry has got another one. This is a tentative stuff from Rahul. Just very poor from a guy who is coming on the back off a ton. It is on a length and outside off, Rahul initially looks to push at it but the tries to bail out. Too late till then, the ball kisses the outside edge and goes to the right of the keeper who takes it with a dive. New Zealand are into the fragile middle order of the Indian team.

15.47 IST: Trent Boult to Virat Kohli, OUT! Umpire's call and Kohli is out of here! He does not take the review along with him but that will be the last of India's concerns at the moment because they are under real pressure now.

* A big moment in the game! Kohli has been given out LBW but he has reviewed. Looks out to be honest.

* Out walks the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. The master of run chases is what he is fondly called as. His team have lost their best batsmen of the tournament and now he will have to play a captain's knock.

15.39 IST: Matt Henry to Rohit Sharma, OUT! Edged and Taken! The HIT-MAN is out of here! Matt Henry gets the big fish. Why big fish? Because this guy is in tremendous form. Ideal start for New Zealand. They needed early wickets and they have got one. This is just a top class delivery. Unplayable one can say. It is on a length and it lands around off. Rohit plays the original trajectory. The ball though straightens, then kisses the outside edge and goes straight into the gloves of Latham. New Zealand are ecstatic. Game on here. IND 4/1 in 1.3 overs

15.33 IST: Trent Boult to KL Rahul, Good running but a good ball too! India are underway! Boult starts this around off and it shapes back in. Rahul pushes it towards mid off and takes off. Rohit obliges and they complete the run easily.

We are back for the chase! The Indian openers, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma make their way out to the middle. Rohit Sharma will be on strike and he will face Trent Boult who has the first new ball in hand. Here we go...

15.25 IST: Play will resume soon as there will be no lunch session. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma will take the crease soon in chase of 240.

India 70/4 (20.3)OVERS
New Zealand 239/8 (50.0)
