Airport security checks are strict and strenuous. Are they? A man managed to get on a SpiceJet aircraft with a kitchen knife. All knives are banned in cabin baggage. Wait, it wasn't discovered by a security staff or crew. The man himself let them know. He was duly rewarded for his honesty. That is he was kicked out of the aircraft.
A passenger onboard Delhi-Goa SpiceJet flight SG 144 on Thursday (September 14) reported to cabin crew that he had kitchen knife in his hand baggage, a SpiceJet statement said today.

When he made the announcement, the aircraft was still on ground. The SpiceJet staff immediately brought the matter to the attention of the Central Industrial Security Force or CISF, the organisation responsible for airport security and baggage checks.
That passenger was offloaded and handed over to airport police. Rest of the passenger flew to Goa after the flight was released after necessary checks as per regulatory guidelines.
