India-bound cars at the Frankfurt Auto Show 2017

The Frankfurt Auto Show is irrevocably done and in the last two days we have reached so many, we don’t know where to begin. So we took a deep breath, thought for a while and decided to sum up the car. Here then is ours is of machines making their way to India in the next one year.

New Swift for India

Next-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift The third generation European spec Maruti Suzuki Swift was showcased at Frankfurt 2017. It’s the same car that will come to India in early 2018 both in petrol and diesel guise. The design cues are not required to change either, save for smaller wheels and badges.
Hyundai Kona

Hyundai Kona The Hyundai i20based Kona compact SUV is India-bound and will be the South Korean automaker’s answer to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Honda WR-V, and the Mahindra TUV300. Currently, there is only a petrol engine on offer, but for businesses like India, we can expect a diesel option too.

Audi Q2

Audi Q2The compact luxury SUV segment is growing by leaps and bounds and now has competitors from across the plate. This is the Ingolstadt-based automaker’s rival for the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, and the Jaguar E-Pace.

Honda Jazz facelift

Honda Jazz facelift Honda Jazz facelift comes as a mid-life update for the Big H’s large hatchback. The styling updates are pretty evident and come in the form of new bumpers, tail lamp cluster and a completely restyled boot lid. The cabin too has been updated while the mechanicals remains unchanged.
Next-gen Polo

Next generation Volkswagen Polo The next generation Volkswagen Polo is India-bound and showcased in its Beats and GTI guise at the Motor show. What we will first get in India is the standard Polo with petrol and diesel engine options as well as an evolutionary design.

New A8

Audi A8The flagship sedan from Audi was showcased as the Prologue concept in 2016 and the production-ready version was revealed last year. It is loaded to the gills with new technology but will still be just as luxurious and powerful.
