Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee (SRMWC) along with Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust is taking out Shiv Barat (Shobha Yatra) on February 12, 2018, on the eve of Maha Shivratri Festival which falls on February 13.
Briefing media persons, Mahant Rishi Ban said that on February 12, a grand Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Shiva will be taken out jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Dharamarth Trust and SRMWC.
“The Shobha Yatra starting from Shri Ranbireshwar Temple at 3:30 PM will pass through all main Bazaars of the Old City viz. Indira Chowk, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazaar Chowk, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Old Hospital Road, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazaar, Mubarak Mandi, Upper Bazaar, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar, Parade Chowk and will finally culminate at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple,” Mahant said, adding that on February 13 a free medical camp with the co-operation of Indian System of Medicines will also be organised in the temple premises in which renowned doctors will examine the patients and will give them free medicines.
Mahant further said that religious and cultural programmes will also be organised by the renowned artists on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. He appealed to all people and trade organizations to take part in these programmes and get blessings of Bhagwan Shiva. Mahant informed that on February 18, a Vishal Bhandara will be organised at temple premises from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Others who were present in the press conference included Onkar Sharma (Nandi Ji) President, Rajkumar Gupta, Amit Gupta, Advocate Jyoti Sarup Misra, Advocate Kapil Sharma, Mandeep Sharma, Anubhav Suri, Murli Parihar, Mohan Sharma, Deepak Sharma, Rajinder Magotra, Dr. Sunny Gupta, Rekha Sharma, Subhash Bhagat, Dolly Abrol, Surinder Bhagat and Manmohan Singh Administrator Jammu and Kashmir Dharamrth Trust.
