Employees recruited in government jobs under the controversial SRO-202, the recruitment rule that entails a new employee to spend five years in probation, have alleged that they are being ‘victimized’ by the administration.
They alleged that even after J&K becoming a UT, those recruited under the rules have been denied service benefits.
Under the banner of All J&K SRO-202 Employees, hundreds of youth are holding regular protests across the UT, demanding rollback of the ordinance, which was introduced by the PDP-BJP government that ruled the erstwhile state for three years.
“The youth were recruited after a multi-tier selection process by agencies like J&K Public Service Commission and J&K Services Selection Board, but they have been denied service benefits,” says a statement issued by the employees.
