Jammu woman tests positive for Coronavirus - 13 suspected persons picked from Rehari

Update -13 suspected Coronavirus affected persons picked from Rehari and admitted to GMC.

A woman, who remains admitted at the isolation ward of the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu has tested positive for COVID-19.

“The woman has been tested positive, while the suspected man will be tested again for the novel disease,” Dr Shafqat Khan, Nodal Officer to Control Coronavirus, told Greater Kashmir.

The report of the medical test of the woman, who hails from Sarwal and had recently returned from Iran, came last evening in which she has been confirmed of having Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the man who hails from Satwari, and had returned from South Korea, is being again tested for the disease.

Both these patients had fled from the isolation ward of the hospital and travelled to their residences in Sarwal and Satwari. Later, health authorities and the police brought them back to the hospital. As they met with their family and stayed with them, the health authorities kept their families under surveillance. #COVID19. Situation under watch; 400 under surveillance in Satawari and Sarwal areas of Jammu. Anganwari Centre’s in these areas closed till March 31,” said the government spokesman, Rohit Kansal, on Twitter.
