The Army quarantine facility at Manesar in Haryana now faces unique demands from those housed there for the mandatory 14-day quarantine period.

Officials managing the facility say many of those lodged here have been demanding independent rooms. “This is creating hindrance in the functioning of the medical and administrative staff at the facility,” sources said.

Those quarantined have been told that this is an emergency facility comprising temporary barracks and medical facilities. To prevent any mass outbreak, the facility has been divided into “sectors”, each with a maximum capacity of 50 persons.

Apart from playing games, watching TV and having meals together within a barrack, these persons are not allowed to interact with the members of other barracks or sectors.
