Kanika Kapoor confirms she has been tested positive for Coronavirus. She took to Instagram and issued a statement on the stand. The Baby Doll singer revealed she began noticing the symptoms only four days ago. Kanika, who is a mother of three, was in Lucknow when she was tested positive for Covid-19. She was with her family when she began showing the symptoms. Following the test, the singer has revealed, she and her family has been taken into complete quarantine now. "For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward," she said. Before she confirmed the news, numerous reports suggested the singer attended two parties in Lucknow. One of which she hosted and saw 100 guests in attendance, and another where 400 people were present. While the singer did not reveal details about her recent days, she did confirm that the authorities are mapping people she came in contact with. "Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well," she said. Kanika was recently returned from London. There were rumors suggesting she evaded the tests at the airport. However, Kanika has clarified that she was tested as per the norm but developed symptoms just recently. "I was scanned at the airport as per normal procedure 10 days ago when I came back home, the symptoms have developed only 4 days ago," she said. Kanika urged people to resort to self-isolation and get tested if they have the symptoms. "At this stage I would like to urge you all to practice self isolation and get tested if you have the signs. I am feeling OK, like a normal flu and a mild fever, however we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us. We can get through this without panic only if we listen to the experts and our local, state and central government directives. Wishing everyone good health," she added.
