The Uttar Pradesh government has claimed that 95 per cent of the people who participated in the religious congregation in Delhi's Nizamuddin area from the state have been identified. Speaking to media, UP Home Secretary Awanish Awasthi said, "95 percent of the people who attended the religious congregation in Delhi from the state have been identified. We have got their samples tested and those having symptoms of Covid-19 will be put in isolation. 10-12 people are yet to be traced for which instructions have been issued to the concerned authority. We will take action against those who will not cooperate with the officials." "CM Yogi Adityanath has also cut short his visit to districts where cases of coronavirus are rising and chaired a meeting with top officials in Lucknow in the wake of the incident which happened in Delhi. CM has condemned the incident in Bareilly where disinfectant was sprayed on the migrant workers. He has ordered immediate action against the concerned officials," said the home secretary. 19 districts in Uttar Pradesh have been put on alert after reports claimed that at least 157 people of the state attended religious congregation at Nizamuddin in Delhi. Searches were conducted at many places to identify the people. Meanwhile, eight Indonesian Islamic preachers who attended religious congregation in Delhi were found staying at a mosque in Nagina area of Bijnor. They have been kept at an isolation ward at the district hospital and their samples have been sent for testing. An FIR has been registered against the Imam and other members of the mosque for hiding them and not giving information to the district authorities. Meanwhile, a team of police officials, health officers visited a mazrak at the Qaiser Bagh area in Lucknow where six nationals from Kyrgyzstan are staying on a valid visa. Their passport and other details were verified. Their samples were also taken but they have no symptoms of Covid-19. Few people living in the state capital also attended the congregation in Delhi.
