Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19): India on April 3 recorded its single-largest spike in Covid-19 cases with as many as 575 people testing positive for the infection, said the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).

The number of confirmed cases has now surged past 2,500 and includes 71 deaths and 194 recoveries in India. In comparison, coronavirus has claimed more than 58,000 lives across the globe while infecting over 1 million people.
