India has recorded more than 1,300 new cases of the novel coronavirus and 50 fatalities in the last 24 hours, ending Wednesday morning.

With 1,383 new cases of Covid-19 being reported from different parts of the country, the total number of cases in India have surged past the 19,000-mark and is now nearing 20,000. While India’s coronavirus count has reached 19,984, the death toll due has climbed to 640, the Ministry of Health has said.
