Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, responsible for managing the annual pilgrimage on Kashmir Himalayas on Wednesday expressed its apprehension, saying that “as on date, it may not be possible to organise the Yatra 2020â€.
In a brief statement, amid uncertainty over the decision of holding the pilgrimage, an official handout late evening stated, “Due to the current COVID-2019 pandemic situation being dynamic, appropriate decision can be taken on organizing the Yatra on reviewing of the situation in coming futureâ€.
The decision came at a meeting of the 38th meeting of the SASB, presided over by Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu, who is also Chairman of the Board (SASB), at Raj Bhavan.
