At least 18 seriously ill patients with their 12 attendants, including two expecting mothers, were airlifted to Leh from Chandigarh, Delhi and Srinagar on Friday. They were immediately admitted to SNM Hospital, where their samples were collected for the coronavirus testing. An official statement said one patient was moved to the ICU.
Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh, Gyal P Wangyal, along with Deputy Chairman Tsering Sandup and Executive Councillor for Education Konchok Stanzin, flew to SNM Hospital and met the evacuated patients.
