Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi suffered a cardiac arrest at home and is now on ventilator support, according to a hospital statement. He's in critical condition, the Shree Narayana Hospital in Raipur said. Ajit Jogi, 74, leads the Janata Congress Chattisgarh (JCC), a party he founded after he was sacked from the Congress in 2016. He is the first of only three men to have led Chhattisgarh as chief minister, serving between 2000 and 2003. His successor, Raman Singh of the BJP, held the post for 15 years before the incumbent, the Congress's Bhupesh Baghel, took over in 2018.
