A Heart Wrenching Appeal TO Ma Excellency Lieutenant Governor U.T. Jammu & Kstahiinir The Jammu and Kashmir Bank establlsted 1204 Khidmat Centres across Jammu and Kashmir under assigned role as Service Centre Agency (SCA) envisaged in National e-aovernance Programme. For this key initiative (Jammu and Kashmir Bank Circulated the advertisement for the establishment of Khidmat Centres in 2009 .

The advertisement was such an attractive in nature which showed us heavens in the name of entrepreneurship. The highly Graduates/Post-Graduates have been linked with these centres in the name of employment. The Khidmat Centres were promised upliftment with this project The highly qualified youth were selected under defined and specific criteria of selection by bank.

Most of Khidmat Centre Operators left the best of other career opportunities they had at time because of seeing brightness in this project. The current status and position of Khidmat Centre operators in Jammu and Kashmir is hurting and heartening too-, It is in other words pathetic. The current scenario and overall status projects the future of Khidmat Centres is bleak.

People at the helm of affairs have ruined and hijacked the project for their vested interests. The Jammu and Kashmir Bank-has responsibilities and pre-defined role. There are guidelines to be respeeted. There are rules to adhere. There are articles and clauses to be followed. But alasi no one has bothered to value such things and honour them. Hundreds of meetings have been so far conducted by the bank from 2009, minutes have been circulated, even orders from banks apex authorities evaporated in air and their practical implementation is a dream yet.

The best example in this context is that Bank promised us to convert your entities into Ultrasmall Branches to operate basic banking operations at our business locations to give us a kind of economic boost through its Master Strategy Agreement vide Order No:-J1113/FD/2012- 13-25 Dated :- 30-04-2012 , on the pretext of that bank started outsourcing of this one too and started recruitment under Ultra Small Branch Initiative by not keeping in view, the true legalities and protocols of their own order from apex authorities, which quite evidently depicts the sense of arrogant mind set from bank end.

The catastrophic shift in the law and order problem in Jammu and Kashmir another headache for our survival as our business operations are mainly dependent upon Internet connectivity which is totally blocked till and remains suspended on repeated basis through out year We are being trapped in the middle of thundering and stormy sea. Now it Bo or Die situation for us as most among us have crossed the maximum age limit and are not eligible for any other recruitment. process.

This official apathy and insensitiveness is forcing us to take some extreme and violent ways with our family members. We are knocking every door from last ten years for our survival but none has bothered our genuine miseries. Your Excellency is only a ray of hope for us kindly intervene on prompt basis to save the sinked boat of 1204 families in the relams of "Justice delayed is not injustice, Justice denied is injustice." Your Excellency is requested to direct bank management for formulation of a permanent settlement policy'in favour of Khidrnat Centre` Professionals which is our right to claim and obligation of bank for.its lormulatio.n as of working with Jammu and Kashmir Bank from last ten years,Hope a strong and stern action from Your Excellency to save the youth from a. devastating destruction.
