The Jammu and Kashmir UT administration has issued an order on Sunday which states that the lockdown guidelines issued as on May 19 and 24 will continue to remain in force in the UT till June 8.
The Centre had on Saturday issued an order extending the lockdown in the containment zones till June 30.
The order, coined as Unlock-1 by various qaurters, suggested a phased removal of restrictions in areas other than the containment zones, adding that shopping malls and hotels can be reopened in such areas starting June 8.
Meanwhile the toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,971 and the number of cases climbed to 1,73,763 across the nation.
