Drass colder than 'Antarctica' with -30 degree, drinking water freezes in Kashmir too

Despite the clear weather in Jammu and Kashmir, there is currently no respite from the harsh cold due to icy winds. In Jammu, Friday was the coldest day of the season (10.8 degrees) and the coldest night of the season (minus 5 degrees) on Thursday in Srinagar, amid a shivering winter. The Drass of Ladakh was colder than Antarctica of the South Pole on Thursday, while the capital city of Delhi was colder than London. Drass recorded a minimum temperature of -30.2 degrees while Antarctica had a minimum temperature of -26 degrees.
