Despite registering all time one day high, 620 positive cases on Sunday, authorities of the Union Territory (UT) have decided to ease restrictions from Monday.
However, religious places will continue to remain closed as authorities of J&K UT issued fresh SOPs for the lockdown restrictions. The administration has allowed opening of barber shops, salons and parlours in J-K.
Restaurants will start functioning from June 8 but only for home delivery and ‘takeaways’. Malls will be opened and hotels also but with 50 per cent capacity.
While as mini-buses, called as matadors, will operate on roads with 50 per cent of capacity, buses will move on roads with 67 per cent capacity in orange and green zones, but on notified routes only.
Only UT-owned SRTC buses will be allowed to operate in red zones.
The UT administration has decided to continue a ban on inter-state or inter-province movement except for those who have passes.
