District administration Kathua today decided to allow sports activities in Stadia (Urban Areas) with due observance of guidelines for protection against Covid-19 and without the presence of spectators.
As per a DM order issued in continuation of Guidelines/instructions on Lockdown measures in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir of 2020 dated 07-06-2020, no passes are needed for sports activities.
However, maintenance of social distancing; use of protective face covers/masks; repeated washing of hands with soap and water themselves and by workers are mandatory, while spitting in the public place is strictly prohibited.
The order stated that “Any violation of above shall invite penal action under Disaster Management Act, 2005, Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and other Rules in vogue.”
