India has reported a spike of 14,821 fresh coronavirus cases in a single day, pushing the country's Covid caseload to over 4.25 lakh. In the past 24 hours, 445 people have succumbed to the virus which attacks the respiratory organs. On Monday, India's death toll stood at 13,699, according to the daily coronavirus data released Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. 425,282 people have tested positive for coronavirus, of which, 174,387 are active cases. The health ministry has said that 237,196 people have recovered from the coronavirus. On Sunday, the coronavirus cases in India stood at 4.10 lakh. India, which is the fourth worst-affected country due to the virus, has been witnessing a record surge in the coronavirus cases over the past few days.
