With the end of the 63-year old excise toll in Jammu and Kashmir, the practice of applying the toll of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) in Lakhanpur has intensified. Preparations are on to hand over excise department toll booths to NH Authority. According to highly placed sources of NHAI, the toll plaza of the highway in Lakhanpur can start by the end of this month. In front of this toll plaza of the highway, the biggest obstacle was the Excise toll of the state, which has been removed from the new year.
