BJP leader from Sopore abducted by terrorists, rescued

The Jammu and Kashmir police have rescued BJP leader who was abducted early this morning from Watergam in Sopore in north Kashmir.
According to police sources, the abducted BJP leader and Vice President of Watergam Municipal Council Meraj-ud-Din Malla has been rescued.
BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav in a tweet said : �J&K Police say they rescued BJP�s Vice President Municipal Committee Watergam Baramulla, Meraj ud Din Malla who was allegedly abducted by some unknown persons in the north Kashmir district.

BJP leader Mehraj-ud-Din Malla, who is also the vice-president of Watergam Municipal Committee in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, was abducted by terrorists on Wednesday. According to reports, Malla was kidnapped and whisked away in a Santro car, while he was walking on a road to meet his friend.
According to officials, he was allegedly kidnapped at Marazigund in Rafiabad area of Baramulla while he was on his way to Sopore town.
The police have launched a search operation to find the abducted BJP leader.
Notably, a few days back, terrorists put up posters in many areas of Kashmir warning people against joining BJP.
The incident comes a week after Jammu and Kashmir BJP leader Wasim Bari, his father and brother were killed by terrorists on July 8 late in Bandipore district. The three were shot by motorcycle-borne terrorists with a silencer-fitted revolver.
