Three persons died when lightning struck a high altitude meadow land in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, officials said today.

�The incident occurred at around 11.30 on Monday, as the lightning struck at Gum Sar area that killed a couple and another man,� said Ramesh Kumar Angral, senior superintendent of police (SSP), Poonch district.

This report was conveyed to authorities by the Chokidar of Mohra Bachai as the area is far-off and remote, the officials said.
