Three persons died when lightning struck a high altitude meadow land in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, officials said today.

“The incident occurred at around 11.30 on Monday, as the lightning struck at Gum Sar area that killed a couple and another man,” said Ramesh Kumar Angral, senior superintendent of police (SSP), Poonch district.

This report was conveyed to authorities by the Chokidar of Mohra Bachai as the area is far-off and remote, the officials said.
