Brazil has lifted a four-month ban on foreigners arriving via air despite surging coronavirus cases and deaths. News agency AFP reported that the move is aimed at reviving the Brazilian economy, which is heavily dependent on tourism. The move has been announced on a day when Brazil's total coronavirus death toll crossed 90,000.
