NEW DELHI: The Health and Family Welfare Ministry today said, a total of 10,94,374 people have recovered in the country so far and 36,569 recoveries have been reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the Recovery rate reached 64.52 per cent.

The mortality rate due to Coronavirus has further declined to 2.15 per cent in the country. The Health Ministry said, highest number of 57,118 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in one day taking the total number of cases to 16,95,988.

Presently, the total number of active corona cases in the country is 05,65,103. In a single day, 764 deaths have been reported taking the nationwide toll to 36,511. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research said that a total of 05,25,689 tests of Corona virus samples were conducted by the various laboratories within 24 hours. So far, 01,93,58,659 tests have been conducted in the country. At present 1,339 laboratories across India are conducting the tests for COVID-19 including 911 government laboratories and 428 private laboratory chains.
