More than 20 passengers were reportedly injured when a bus plunged into a deep gorge near Kuh Nallah in the Udhampur Ramnagar area today.

Police sources confirmed that due to torrential rain and slippery condition of the road, the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle and as a result, it fell into a deep gorge.

In the incident, more than 20 passengers have been critically injured out of which four are serious and have been referred to the GMC, Jammu, for better treatment. The police said 37 passengers were on board when the bus started from Udhampur.

On getting the information, the locals and the police arrived on the spot and started the rescue operation and shifted the injured to the district hospital.
