The UT administration today revoked detention of 26 persons, including mainstream political activists, under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act. A majority of these detained persons were chronic stone-throwers.
According to an official spokesperson, the persons whose PSA detention was revoked included Abdul Salam Rather, president of the Baramulla Bar Association, lodged in Central Jail, Srinagar, and Nazir Ahmad Ronga, former president of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Kashmir.
