Former MLA from Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania has become the first BJP leader in Jammu and Kashmir whose name has figured in the list released officially by the administration pertaining to Roshni cases while a former woman MLA, Businessmen and Sarpanch were among other names in the lists made public.

Though the list didn't name Ranbir Singh Pathania directly, it listed Bhupinder Singh (now dead) and his two sons including a former MLA and an Advocate as the beneficiaries for regularization of nine kanals 14 marlas Agriculture land at village Kehal in Majalta area of Ramnagar in Udhampur district.

They got 9 kanals & 14 marlas land for Rs 970. Bhupinder Singh Pathania was father and Jagdev Singh Grandfather of Ranbir Singh Pathania, whose names also figured in the list. Pathania had won Ramnagar Assembly seat for the BJP in 2014 elections. The list also named former woman MLA of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who is now dead, as encroacher of six kanals land at Sidhra in Jammu district other than Roshni on which mobile tower has been installed.

Businessmen including Ajit Katyal, Rashpal Singh and Rampal have encroached three marlas each of the State land at Chowadhi and constructed shops there. Other businessmen including Chetan Singh and Chiketan Singh, Naseeb Singh and Prem Singh have grabbed 4 kanals of the State land for commercial and residential purposes at Chowadhi. Another businessman Sadiq Malik has encroached 11 kanals land at Sunjwan for commercial purposes.
