The Bombay High Court on Friday granted bail to Riyaz Kazi, co accused with Sachin Vaze in the Antilia bomb scare and Mansukh Hiren murder case. The court directed Riyaz Kazi's release on a bail of Rs 25,000. He was instructed to cooperate with the investigation agency, by depositing the passport. The Mumbai API under suspension has also been asked to appear before the NIA every Saturday. "My client was arrested in April 2021, when the bomb scare case was in the news. The Sections initially invoked against him were 120B (criminal conspiracy), 201 (Causing disappearance of evidence) and the UAPA. However, when the chargesheet was filed, only 120B and 201 were invoked on him. The High Court granted us bail today after we filed an appeal against an earlier Session court ruling denying the same," Adv Shraddha Vavhal, who appeared for Kazi said. Riyazuddin Kazi aka Riyaz Kazi was arrested by the NIA for allegedly assisting Vaze in Antilia bomb scare case and destroying evidence related to the Mansukh Hiren murder case.
