Haryana Schools will not be reopening with 100% or full capacity from today – December 1, 2021, as per recent updates on government orders. The decision to allow reopening at full capacity has been withdrawn as the state also joins the list of names battling with the fear of Omicron, a new variant of COVID. Haryana Schools would now continue to operate at 50% capacity, like before and there will be no change in it till any further announcement is made. The Education Department was expected to convey this change to all the schools so that all plans for reopening with 100% capacity can be halted. Some reports are suggesting that the decision has been put on hold only till December 10, 2021, while others are not mentioning any such date. In such a case, students and schools are advised to only wait for an official confirmation from the state government or Education Department and meanwhile continue with offline classes at 50% capacity. Haryana School reopening announcement was initially made by Education Minister Kanwar Pal through his official Twitter handle. The tweet read, "From December 1, all the government and private #schools of Haryana will open with full capacity. The compliance of the Covid protocol will continue as before. If any problem related to Covid arises again in future, then the government will take an immediate decision in this regard."
