The Public Examination Organization (NIA) on Monday appended two places of children of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen's boss Syed Salahuddin in the Valley. NIA detectives appended the relentless properties of Shahid Yusuf and Syed Ahmad Shakeel at Soibugh in Budgam and Rambagh area in Srinagar, separately. The pair had been getting assets from abroad from the partners of their dad and overground laborers of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen," a NIA representative said. Their properties have been appended under Segment 33(1) of the Unlawful Exercises (Avoidance) Act, the NIA said. In August 2018, the NIA captured Shakeel, who was filling in as a lab professional at J&K's head wellbeing organization — Sher-e-Kashmir Foundation of Clinical Sciences, Soura — for more than twenty years. The NIA blamed him for being a "recorded aggressor". In 2017, the test office had captured Shahid regarding a tax evasion case. Both are held up in Delhi's Tihar prison. Shahid was chargesheeted on April 20, 2018 and Shakeel on November 20, 2018, individually. In August 2022, the J&K organization fired Salahuddin's third child Syed Abdul Mueed, Director, IT, Jammu Kashmir Business person Improvement Establishment, from administration for purportedly being engaged with "against public" exercises.
In 1993, Salahudeen moved over to Pakistan. In October 2020, he was assigned as a singular psychological militant by the Focal Government.
