Devi Basu Singh Grover, who was born with two holes in her heart, was welcomed into the world by Bipasha Basu in November of last year. Bipasha broke down in tears while talking to star Neha Dhupia on Instagram Live about her and Karan Singh Grover's experience becoming parents. Devi had to have surgery when she was three months old, according to Bipasha. She remarked, "Our road has been extremely different from that of any typical parent and child; it has been far rougher than the smile I am wearing right now. I don't want any mother to experience this. When you learn it as a new mother, I learned on the third day of my birthing a child who has two heart holes in her when she is born. I had intended to keep this to myself, but I'm posting it because I believe there are women out there who have supported me along the way. Finding these mothers hasn't been easy. You don't want anything to go wrong with your newborn when you give birth. Bipasha explained how she and her family learned about the ventricular septal defect (VSD). We didn't even know what a VSD was, she continued. It is a defect in the ventricular septum. We've heard that it closes on its own as children develop.
