Recalling the Quit India movement started by Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that India now speaks with one voice against corruption, dynasty and appeasement.

Modi's apparent swipe at the opposition comes as the ruling BJP is holding events across the country on Wednesday on the issue.

"Salute to the greats who participated in the Quit India Movement. The movement led by Gandhi Ji played an important role in liberating India from colonial rule," he said on Twitter.

He added, "Today India says with one voice: corruption stop India. A dynasty other than India. Appeasement, leave India.

Modi has repeatedly accused opposition parties of corruption, dynasty and appeasement politics and urged people to shun them.
