Celebrities can pay exorbitant fees for their promotional posts on social media. Former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli recently rubbished claims that he earns Rs 11.45 crore for every Instagram post.

According to the Instagram Rich List 2023, the cricketer is the highest Indian on the list with 256 million followers on Instagram and earns $1,384,000, which translates to Rs 11.45 billion per post.

However, Kohli, who is ranked 14th, refuted the claims.

Kohli wrote on Twitter: "Though I am grateful and indebted for everything I have been given in my life, the news that is doing rounds on my social media is not true."
