Elon Musk said that the blocking of X (formerly Twitter) will be removed and users will not be able to block others except in direct messages (DM), which angered several users.
Blocking prevents other users from interacting with, viewing, and tracking your account.

The "mute" feature remains on social media, Musk said.
"Blocking is being removed as a feature other than DMs," the tech billionaire told his follower.

"It doesn't make sense," he added. In June, Musk said Twitter should remove the block "in favor of a stronger form of silencing."
He has always complained about mass blocking campaigns for users who subscribe to Twitter Blue.
Several users considered the suggestion to remove Block as a security feature even for concerned users.
