Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that a 360-degree mechanism is in place to eliminate terrorists in the Jammu division.
"The security network is doing everything possible to eliminate the terrorist support system," he said.
Talking about the recent terror attacks and encounters in the Jammu division, especially in Rajouri and Poonch, the L-G said that people helping terrorists will not be spared. "We follow a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and the JandK administration is determined and committed to cracking down on those who are involved in the terrorist ecosystem or facilitate terrorist activities," he said.
He was speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the launch of the Green JandK Drive at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu. Sinha also defended the firing of government employees who supported terrorism and said the administration would not hesitate to take appropriate legal action against such individuals. Referring to Article 311 of the Constitution, which deals with dismissal, dismissal or demotion of civil servants, he said the article was added: "to take severe action against those who pose a threat to the nation".
