The price of LPG cooking gas has been reduced by Rs 200 per cylinder, IandB minister Anurag Thakur said after a cabinet meeting. Meanwhile, the subsidy for Ujjwala beneficiaries is now Rs 400 per LPG cylinder, Thakur said.

He also announced that the government will provide Rs 75,000 crore worth of new LPG connections free of charge under the Ujjwala scheme.
