Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday that the Border Roads Organization (BRO) has completed nearly 300 infrastructure projects in the last 900 days.
He was speaking at the inauguration of 90 roads, bridges, and tunnels in ten border states and universities across the country.
"In the last 900 days, BRO has built nearly 300 roads, bridges and tunnels across the country, which is an achievement," the Defense Minister said.
He inaugurated the Devak Bridge on Bishnah-Kaulpur-Phulpur Road in Jammu District, built by BRO; which is strategically important for the armed forces and facilitates the rapid deployment of troops, heavy equipment and mechanized vehicles to advance areas.

Singh has also done e-shilanyas for one of the world's highest airports at Nyoma in Ladakh. "BRO has helped the armed forces in the remote areas of the Himalayas by building infrastructure along the borders. BRO is like a brother of the armed forces, that's why we usually call it brother (pronounced brother). Development of infrastructure along the borders. not only secures the areas but also promotes socio-economic development," said the Defense Minister. .
The 90 infrastructure projects to be inaugurated on Tuesday will cost Rs 2,941 crore. It includes 22 roads, 63 bridges, the Nechiphu tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh, two airports in West Bengal, and two helipads.
