Russia on Wednesday accused Ukraine's Western allies of helping plan and carry out last week's missile attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Crimea.
"There is no doubt that the attack was pre-planned by Western intelligence equipment, NATO satellite equipment, and surveillance aircraft, and it was carried out on the basis of advice from the American and British security agencies and in close cooperation with them," said. the Russian Foreign Ministry. Spokesperson of the Maria Ministry. Zakharova said at a press conference.
Moscow has repeatedly argued that the United States and its NATO allies played an effective role in the conflict, supplying Ukraine with weapons and intelligence and helping to plan attacks on Russian targets.
The accusation came a day after a video surfaced showing Navy Commander Adm.

Viktor Sokolov was still alive despite Ukraine's claims - without providing evidence - that he was among 34 officers killed in Friday's attack on the port city of Sevastopol. The Crimean peninsula, which Russia illegally annexed from Ukraine in 2014, has been a frequent target since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine 20 months ago.
Crimea was a center for support for the invasion and increasingly came under fire from Ukraine.
Ukraine reports that the strike, which left a large hole in the headquarters' main building, injured 105 people, although those claims could not be independently confirmed.
Russia initially said one soldier was killed, but quickly retracted that claim and said the person was missing.
Moscow did not provide further updates and did not directly comment on Sokolov's condition. However, the Ministry of Defense released a video on Tuesday in which Sokolov, among other senior officers, participated in a video conference with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Sokolov did not speak in the video shown.
Ukraine's special operations forces released a statement on Tuesday saying Sokolov was among the dead, many of whom have not yet been identified. He said he tried to confirm the claim after the video surfaced.
Sokolov was shown speaking to reporters about Black Fleet operations in a video released on a news channel affiliated with the Russian Defense Ministry. It was not clear when the video was filmed. The video did not mention the Ukrainian attack on the naval headquarters.
Zaharova's remarks follow comments by Russian Security Council vice-chairman Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday that the arrival of US Abrams tanks in Ukraine and US promises to supply an unspecified number of long-range ATACMS missiles are pushing NATO closer to direct conflict with Russia.
