Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch development projects worth Rs 12,600 crore in Madhya Pradesh and Rs 5,000 crore in Rajasthan during his visit to two poll-bound states on Thursday.
In Rajasthan's Jodhpur, the Prime Minister's Office said Modi will lay the foundation stone and launch several development projects in sectors such as road, rail, aviation, health and higher education.
In Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, he will inaugurate and lay the foundations for development projects in areas such as roads, railways, gas pipelines, housing and clean drinking water.
The health projects he is setting up in Rajasthan include a 350-bed trauma center and intensive care hospital block at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jodhpur and seven intensive care units under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure. Mission (PM-ABHIM) is being developed across the state.

He said the development of the AIIMS center will cost more than Rs 350 crore. The statement said the facility will bring a holistic approach to trauma and emergency care by providing multidisciplinary and comprehensive care to patients, while the ICU units in Rajasthan will augment the district-level critical care infrastructure.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the development of a modern new terminal building at the Jodhpur airport at a cost of Rs 480 crore and will also dedicate the IIT Jodhpur campus to the nation.
The statement says the campus was built at a cost of over Rs 1,135 crore. This is a step towards providing quality holistic education and building infrastructure to support cutting-edge research and innovative initiatives.
Among other projects, he will inaugurate several road development projects to be constructed at a total cost of around Rs 1,475 crore and will also announce two new train lines in the state. Modi will inaugurate a lighthouse project in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the PMO said.
Built at a cost of around Rs 128 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban, the project will benefit over 1,000 beneficiary families as part of its vision of 'housing for all'.
He will also inaugurate several Jal Jeevan mission projects in Mandla, Jabalpur and Dindor districts worth over Rs 2,350 crore and inaugurate a drinking water project under the same scheme in Seon district.
These projects in four districts of the state will benefit about 1,575 villages in Madhya Pradesh.
He said he would also lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation several projects worth over Rs 4,800 crore to improve road infrastructure in the state. He will commit to national railway projects worth over Rs 1,850 crore and the 352 km long Vijaipur-Auraiyan-Phulpur pipeline project worth over Rs 1,750 crore and various other development projects which he will launch during his visit.
