The State Examination Organization (SIA) on Wednesday led strikes in Anantnag and Kulgam locale, focusing on areas connected to a dread related case, as per authorities. Driven by the Kashmir unit of the organization, the activity designated five areas, remembering three for Anantnag and two in Kulgam, as a component of a continuous examination concerning a fear financing case, documented under at the Anantnag police headquarters on November 19. The case falls under Areas 13, 17, 18, 20, 38 and 40 of the UAPA as well as 120B, 121A and 121 of the IPC. On November 23, the case was handed over to the SIA in Kashmir.
Zaffar Hussain Bhat, also known as Khursheed Kashmiri, a close associate of Ghulam Nabi Khan, deputy chief of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), is the primary focus of the investigation. Important digital and documentary evidence, such as cell phones, pen drives, SIM cards, data cards, bank documents, passports, etc., were uncovered during the searches. Seized were items relevant to the ongoing investigation.
In this case, Majid Aziz Lawey, a close associate of Khursheed Kashmiri, was arrested on November 19 with Rs 5 lakh worth of terror funds.
Plans of Hizbul and Lashkar for UT The SIA investigation reveals that Hizbul Mujahideen, the United Jihad Council, and Lashkar-e-Toiba devised a strategy to provide Rs 15,000 to each of the families of terrorists who have been killed, as well as their associates, of active and arrested terrorists.
The essential focal point of the examination bases on Zaffar Hussain Bhat, otherwise called Khursheed Kashmiri, a nearby partner of Ghulam Nabi Khan, vice president of Hizbul Mujahideen.
